The short version

not.rest is a static site. It has no accounts, no sign-up forms, and it sets no cookies of its own. We don't build profiles of visitors and we don't sell data — there is essentially nothing to sell.

What is processed

Our sites are served by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP addresses and user-agent strings) to deliver pages and protect them from abuse. That processing is standard for any site behind a CDN and is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy documentation.

If you email us — for example at do@not.rest — we receive what you send and use it to reply. We don't add you to lists you didn't ask for.

Two things happen on your own device and nowhere else. The spine (the visit's receipt, bottom-left) can remember your visit in your browser's own storage — which pages you opened and what the chat did, never what you typed — so the site can pick up where you left off next time; nothing is sent, no cookie is set, and a "forget this device" line in the spine erases it. The chat ("Ask the field", bottom-right) sends what you type to Not Rest's own model on Not Rest's own machine to answer it; the words are not recorded — no content logs, no persistence.

Changes

When the platform gains features that touch personal data, this page will change first, with the date above updated. Material changes will be visible here before they take effect.
