company ↔ capital ↔ contributors ↔ customers ↔ community — every arrow runs both ways, and capital is one node among peers, not the apex. Not everyone who believes in a company should have to buy something or be ignored. Contribution type determines the relationship, and each relationship has a real door:

• Customer — use the products: dig.rest · tell.rest · mend.rest.
• Learner — the workshop on this site; training and tutorials at learn.not.rest.
• Contributor — build with the open-source harness: github.com/notrestai/notrest.
• Advisor / Partner — consultation and partnership through do.not.rest, or write to do@not.rest.

The owner role

Owner is a legal role that exists only inside a regulated offering conducted through a registered intermediary. No offering exists today. When a legal structure is selected, the compliant route — including any expression of investment interest, with the exact required notices — will appear here, and the transaction itself will happen on a registered rail, not on this website. That slot is built and switched off; the switch is a reviewed legal state, not an edit. Until then, the strongest way to participate is above.

And if owners someday exist, ownership here is meant to be more than a ledger row — an owner operating graph: each owner may optionally declare what they can move (expertise, introductions, hiring, industry knowledge, distribution), and the company may ask. Participation stays voluntary; an owner is never automatically a worker, advisor, or salesperson, and when the company wants actual work, it creates the appropriate agreement in its own legal lane.
